Knee Wraps have been starting to get a bit more popular in the Olympic Weightlifting community. If you’re not familiar with knee wraps, they are meant to help you bounce out of the squat hole a bit easier. It’s commonly used for Powerlifters.
The difference is that Powerlifters, in general, utilize longer wraps and make them SUPER tight. While if Olympic Weightlifters follow the same method, they’ll most likely not be able to get down to pull the bar or even lose sensation of their feet.
If you do decide to utilize wraps, you should ensure that they are a bit more flexible and not nearly as long. While I don’t necessarily recommend them, I would say that if you do utilize them to start with a loose wrap and slowly increase the tension.
